About the syntax there´s an open library called NLTK (Natural Language Tools Kit) hope helps! maybe you need Jupiter Notebook, and one of the great contributors to the computanional in Europe is Joaquim Llisterri, has papers about phonetics using programs like Praat that you can get and learn easybut uses others also…more knowed like Audacity to create, not only corpus (libraries) with students but also speach recognition and synthesis. José María Lahoz is interesting on SLA.
