Why is codeigniter not cited here? Is it as good as the other frameworks cited? Or are there some important negative aspects about CI?

in 2023, is it still worth learning php instead of javascript?

Hello; learning PHP is definitely worth it. Many websites and web applications were built using PHP. Many websites are still built using PHP/SQL for the backend. I think it would be a good investment to learn both, although I am partial to PHP. When building a proper web application it is common to see both used together in the same project!

Good luck on your academic and professional journey.
