This chapter keeps referring to HTML syntax. DO i need to know it in order to learn JSX?
thank you

From the fourth chapter (What is JSX?) of this INTRO TO JSX lesson:

JSX code looks a lot like HTML.

So I would imagine that knowing HTML would help a lot to understand the code. Afterall, HTML basics are not that difficult to learn. Codecademy also offers free lessons of it: Learn HTML.
