Hi there,

It seems that first task of this lesson is buggy. I can’t pass it even using a solution from the hints
my code:

db.listingsAndReviews.updateOne({ name: "Vinnys" }, { $set: { borough: "Queens", cuisine: "Italian" } }, { upsert: true })

error:
Does your update argument for the .updateOne() method use the $set operator?

I would appreciate any hints on this

I reset the exercise and completed it again. It worked for me.

As you can see, it upserted a new document.

In your screenshot, it didn’t insert or modify or upsert the document. It did match the document, so for some reason (perhaps you ran the query before), the document already exists in the listingsAndReviews collection.

I would suggest the following:

  • Click on “Get Unstuck” and select “Reset Exercise”

  • You may need to refresh the exercise page or reset again. For me, it took a couple of resets/refreshes for the terminal to load properly.

  • Type in the query as in the hints or as in your screenshot. Hopefully, it will upsert the document and “Check Work” should mark the first step as completed.
