I am following the course content and have written the query correctly:
“db.listingsAndReviews.find({ grades: {date: ISODate(“2014-07-11T00:00:00.000Z”), grade: ‘A’, score: 8} })”
but I am still getting an errror message “Did you query for the exact embedded document? Double check your spelling, capitilization, and quotations.”.
I know the code is correct and it’s returning the right results but I cannot progress any further .

Can you post a screenshot showing your query + the returned result + the error message? (There is an upload button in the forum post editor).

I suspect that perhaps you may have used slightly different quotes than expected. Possibly, the screenshot may offer some clues as to the nature of the issue.

The normal copy and paste shortcuts such as ctrl+C and ctrl+V didn’t work too well with the mongosh shell.

  • So, I copied the embedded document from Step 1 in the instructions.

  • Pasted it into Notepad:
    scrn3

  • Removed the extra spaces so that the document was on a single line:
    scrn4

  • And then pasted it in the mongosh shell by using right click and Paste (as opposed to using the shortcut ctrl+V)

The following query worked for me:
