For the “CIRCUIT PLAYGROUND: PART 2 Light Sensor” exercise I ran the following 2 programs:

On the Mu editor I pressed the “Load” button, which successfully loaded the program and
then pressed the Serial button. According to the exercise I should have seen a REPL
appear with numbers appearing. Nothing changed on the screen but to be
prefecttly honest I don’t really understand what the “REPL” is.

Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong ?
