Exponentiation - 11 explanation

#1

Hi guys new here hope you are well. I have finished this but need some clarification.

eight = 2 ** 3

In the above example, we create a new variable called eight and set it to 8, or the result of 2 to the power to 3 (2^3).

Am I right in thinking that to get to 8 you would follow this process, 2 ** 3 = 2x2= 4 x2 = 8 ?.

Create a new variable called eggs and use exponents to set eggs equal 100.

Try raising 10 to the power of 2.

10 ** 2 =10x10 = 100 ?

Thank you in advance for your wisdom.
