Experience tab 404 error - How to Make a Website with NameCheap

Hi,

I am working on my last project for How to Make a Website with NameCheap and I am having issue trying to create my “Experience tab” to work. When I follow the instructions and cut and paste my code as instructed and add a few more code to finish the project, I get a 404 error. It seems no matter what I try and I cannot click on the “Experience” link I get the 404 error message.
Below is the url for the page and the code I currently have pasted into the Experience code.

URL - https://www.codecademy.com/courses/make-a-website/projects/building-a-personal-portfolio

Code:

@80duce,

The Codecademy forum provides a quick and easy way to post properly-formatted code. All you need to do is look for the </> icon in the menu bar which appears at the top of the text box while you type.

capture

Press Enter to go to a blank line, click that icon, and you will see this:

capture_r

Just copy and paste your code directly from the editor into that highlighted portion, and all of the nicely-readable formatting will be preserved! Moreover, it will be in a format that can be directly copied and pasted into an IDE for testing.

If you edit your post and format using this method, it’ll be easier for us to help you out.

Thanks!

Thank you for the information on how to paste my code when posting a question in he code academy forum. Please see my code below. For some reason, that is to obvious to me, the "Experience tab or information is not visible and when I click on the “Experience” link, I get a 404 error message,

Hi Codeacademy Team,

Can anyone help with my dilemma as to why I am getting a 404 error message when I try and display my code? See my code below in this thread.

Where is the experience link?

This is the URL to the project which gives access to the Experience page.

https://www.codecademy.com/courses/make-a-website/projects/building-a-personal-portfolio

Thanks! I actually meant where in the code do you link to experiences?

Hi codeneutrino,

Please see my code below, Also, for some reason, when the instruction direct me to copy my code from one page to the new page, I am getting a 404 error message. I know there is something mossing that connect the new page, but I can’t seem to find which piece of code is missing or not being copied over to the new page.
I have tried deleting all the code on my new page, in this instance, Education page, and copy all the code from the “About Me” page and my my changes as instructed, but I still get the 404 error message.
I hope the code below is what you are looking for, if not, please let me know what exactly you are looking for.

Thank you,

 <header class="container">
      <div class="row">
        <h1 class="col-sm-6">
          Mark Morse
        </h1>
          <nav class="col-sm-6 text right">
            <a href="index.html">Home</a>
            <a href="about.html">
              Education</a>
            <a href="experince.html">
              Experince
            </a>
          </nav>
      </div>
    </header>
       <section class="jumbotron">
        <div class="container">
          <div class="row">
            <h2>
              About Me
            </h2>
              </div>
          </div>
      </section>

If you are getting a 404 error, it probably means the page isn’t found. So, have you checked to make sure you’ve put the file in the right place?

Or have you checked that you’ve spelled ‘experience’ correctly?

BINGO, it was that I had misspelled the word experience and that was causing the issue,

Thank !!
