Exercise 2: .nav is not working

#1

I'm trying to use the .nav but it's not working and it goes red whenever I put the dot, instead of staying white as showed in the example.
What can I do?

#2

Don't worry about the colours in the editor matching the colours in the exercise instructions. Two different code highlighting configurations were used for those.

#3

still, it's not working. It's asking me to set the color even though I already did it.

#4

I think you might have some unusual curly brackets there. Could you please copy/paste that in here so that I can try your code?

#5

sure :smile:

.nav a ❴
color: #5a5a5a;
font-size: 11px;
font-weight: bold;
padding-bottom: 14 px;
padding-left: 10 px;
padding-right: 10px;
padding-top: 14px;
text-transform: uppercase;

#6

Oooh, yes, those are unusual curly braces.

Yours :
Mine: {

#7

ooh, thank you! I will try yours and see

#8

it's working, thank you so much!!

#9

Don't worry I had the same exact problem. For 1 I didn't put it in the main.css and 2nd of all I didn't type it the right way so I went to the hint button and copy and pasted it onto the CORRECT tab. Hopefully I helped!
