When I got to the second exercise in the Return section below:

“Inside the takeOrder() function, set orderCount equal to orderCount plus 1, so that each time the takeOrder() function runs, 1 is added to the orderCount.”

I placed the code orderCount = orderCount + 1; and it successfully passed the section but when I placed orderCount += 1; I received the following error:

expected [Function

Can someone at CodeAcademy explain why equal code sections are not both accepted?

<do not remove the three backticks above>
