Oops, try again. The quizzes key does not have the value "[]" in your lloyd dictionary.

Expect it to have no errors, as I've already done what the error message is intimating.

lloyd = {
    "name" : "Lloyd",
    "homework" : "[]" ,
    "quizzes" : "[]",
    "tests" :"[]" ,
}

alice = {
    "name" : "Alice",
    "homework" : "[]",
    "quizzes" : "[]" ,
    "tests" : "[]"
}

tyler = {
    "name" : "Tyler",
    "homework" : "[]" ,
    "quizzes" : "[]",
    "tests" :"[]",
 }

Replace this line with your code.

Hope you can figure out what's wrong!

sorry for the bother, I figured out the mistake. Accidentally used quotation marks. Thanks

Hi, @rroshanroy ,

You have quotes around the brackets here, which makes them into a string, instead of delimiters of a list ...

"quizzes" : "[]",

Remove the quotes around the brackets in all the dictionaries.
