i had completed this stage before, i went back. Now i'm not sure whats going on

The error message is spot on. Read it and compare what it says to what you entered.

if i'm not mistaken( most likely i am). The original variable would mean "pissoff". Is it the " " or do i look somewhere else.

Space isn't a letter, no.

It's a character, sure, but the wording in the error message makes it fairly clear that's not what's meant.

Sometimes things are meant to be literal, other times you have to fill in the blanks, sometimes it's possible to tell which it is and other times one just have to try both. Sometimes it's misleading, then even more things have to be tried. Details matter.
