Is there a difference between and ? And between and ?
Hi there!
There is a difference.
and are used to change the appearance of text (regularly done through CSS now), where and have semantic meaning while also changing the appearance of text.
Take for example, this heading:
Our Product is Fifty Times More Reliable!

Our Product is Fifty Times More Reliable!

vs
Our Product is Fifty Times More Reliable!

Our Product is Fifty Times More Reliable!

Visually, they both look the same. However, the second has semantic meaning in that the “Fifty Times” is emphasized. Screen readers may also read it differently; emphasizing while reading the second heading but not the first.
