Do I need spaces around multiply in python?

In Numbers and Value Errors there were spaces around the * when multiplying two variables, but in the Review the spaces had to be taken out. Why?

It’s interchangeable and based on a combination of preference and formatting. Using spaces is ideal for differentiating what is being multiplied, but it can also be fine to not put spaces, especially if its quick multiplication with a single variable.
