Dispays syntax error, why?

#1

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

Start coding here!

original = raw_input("enter a word")
if len(original) > 0
print original
else :
print "empty"

this is my program and it doesn't work why?

#2

There is a colon missing at the end of the If statement line. However, even with the colon, I was not able to get it to work. does anyone else have any suggestions?
thanks!

#3

Ok, when I put the "print "empty" "on the same line as the "else:" it worked. The script must be sensitive to location of the code.
