Deploying my website

#1

Hi - wondering if someone can help me. I am trying to deploy my actual website as opposed to completing the exercise which I have done.

I am in the terminal and have got as far as git add . and then attempting to commit my work.

Its response is:

On branch master
nothing to commit, working tree clean

Does anyone know what I should do from here?

Replace this line with your code.

I tried to continue by inputing 'git push -u origin master' to which it replied:

Chriss-Air:TheDevonArtist christaylor101$ git push -u origin master
To https://github.com/christaylor101/christaylor101.github.io.git
! [rejected] master -> master (fetch first)
error: failed to push some refs to 'https://github.com/christaylor101/christaylor101.github.io.git'
hint: Updates were rejected because the remote contains work that you do
hint: not have locally. This is usually caused by another repository pushing
hint: to the same ref. You may want to first integrate the remote changes
hint: (e.g., 'git pull ...') before pushing again.
hint: See the 'Note about fast-forwards' in 'git push --help' for details.

You didn't add any changes.

You weren't building on top of the history that the remote had. You went backwards in history in some way.

Force pushing may make the remote accept it anyway, and overwrite what it currently has, or you may want to pull from it and put your changes on top of its history.
