2.

Now try this same command with sudo in front of the command, verify your password, and see that the changes have been made.

Thanks! I’m actually running into an issue on that exercise which I’ll report, for me I’m getting that sudo is not found, and the “correct” command to procced is not what the exercise says it should be, did you run into these?

Nah, i just dont remember the default password for ccuser so i cant continue the lesson

$ sudo password
[sudo] password for ccuser:
Sorry, try again.
[sudo] password for ccuser:
Sorry, try again.
[sudo] password for ccuser:
sudo: 3 incorrect password attempts

Did you try your main password for logging into the platform?

and I think for part, you have to run “sudo chown rebecca myTestFile.txt” not /finances

Yeah, the command in the hint is correct, but not what’s listed in the actual task, I’ll report it and (hopefully) get it fixed, the latter error I’m not sure, so I’ll pass it along. :slight_smile:

yeah i literally cant continue the lesson now because of a password…so frustrating

The default password for user ccuser is ilovecc.

When it says “sudo: command not found”, in chrome go to chrome://flags, search for “enable cross-origin portals” and disable it. Restart the browser and it should be good now.
