Can I maually set the possible delay between clicks somewhere in script?
Readed at jQuery API site (third condition to trigger double click):

The mouse button is depressed again while the pointer is inside the element, within a time window that is system-dependent.

We cannot alter the time since it is set by the user on their system (mouse settings). Some people like quick second clicks, and others like a little more time to make the second click. It's out of our hands in the normal sense.

The first rule of accessible web development is to not mess with the user settings. That is why user style sheets have the highest importance, and why we commonly adopt the user's font size as 100% for the html, and/or body. Now all font sizes are set to the user's environment so long as we stick to proportional sizes throughout.
