from datetime import datetime
now = datetime.now()

print '%s\%s\%s' % (now.month, now.day, now.year)
is my code but the problem is that the instructions say to put it in that format (mm/dd/yyyy) but when i click submit it gives me this error
Oops, try again. Your printed date doesn't seem to be in the proper format: mm/dd/yyyy.

so the instructions are giving me the wrong way to do it.

Replace this line with your code.

Hi @lanekink75,

The format should be mm/dd/yyyy. However, you have used backslashes instead of forward slashes. As a result, your format is mm\dd\yyyy.
