CSS Typography

Hi guys,

I am following the CSS path on codeacademy but I can not really understand the structure of the code since I am new to coding.
I would really appreciate if you could explain me few things:

  • what is the meaning of @ before font-face
  • why do I need to add two dots before /fonts/Glegoo-Regular.ttf when in the example of the course this is not present
  • why do I also need to add a format and what is truetype

@font-face {
font-family: “Glegoo”;
src: url(…/fonts/Glegoo-Regular.ttf) format(‘truetype’);

Thank you for your help!

Because the fonts folder is situated one level up, in the same parent folder as holds your HTML document.

.> TrueType
