CSS Paragraph! Need help!

#1

I am stuck on this every time! my layout is this:

.nav a {
  color: #5a5a5a;
  font-size: 11px;
  font-weight: bold;
  padding-bottom: 14px;
  padding-left: 10px;
  padding-right: 10px;
  padding-top: 14px;
  text-transform: uppercase;}

  .jumbotron {
  background-image: url('https://goo.gl/04j7Nn');
  height: 500px;}

<div class="jumbotron"> color:#fff font-size:48px font-weight:bold</div>

when i submit, this pops up:
Oops, try again. Set the color of the p element inside <div class="jumbotron">..</div> to #fff

You coded your nav a { ... } and your .jumbotron { ... } correctly but then you mistakenly used some HTML tags near the end there.

This is a CSS only file.

#3

what should i put? put what you used

#4

I'll have to go look up the exercise ...

I will tell you now that these are HTML tags and they can not be used in your CSS file:

<div class="jumbotron">
</div>

#5

Thanks! copy & paste please!

#6

I will also tell you that I won't be doing that either :smile:

In this forum, it is generally against the rules to copy/paste answers. What we do here is help you learn coding.

your giving me a vague answer,

I finally found the exercise. It is in the CSS Styling section, not the CSS Layout section so that took awhile.

The plan is to select all of the h1 elements in the jumbotron div. There is a picture of how to do that in the exercise, this:

Once you have that, then you fill it with your property/value pairs that describe the styling that you want to use. Don't forget that you need a semicolon at the end of each pair.

Hopefully not too vague, but if it is then just ask about the parts that you don't understand.
