CSS lesson 21 links and text decoration error: Saying my 'a' selector does not recognize #cc0000 as a color

this is what I have entered into my css not sure what I am doing wrong. please help

Hello :slight_smile:

<style> is a HTML element, it's used in the .html files. In this exercise, you should write code inside the stylesheet.css tab. Code in this tab is supposed to be a CSS code so you don't have to mark it in any special way, just use:

a {
    color: #cc0000; 
    text-decoration: none;
}
