CSS Grid Area - Error?

“Let’s make box b take up six columns. In style.css, create a rule for elements of class b. Use grid-column to set its starting column to 2. Use span to make the item take up six colum”

CSS Code:

.grid {
display: grid;
border: 2px blue solid;
height: 500px;
grid-template: repeat(4, 1fr 2fr) / repeat(4, 3fr 2fr);
grid-gap: 5px;

The issue is there are only 5 colums in the .grid, wich is the container. The child element .b how can it have 6 columns?
