CSS: An Overview, Glitch in 2.6, "Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself"

The output keeps giving me an error message which reads: "Oops, try again. Did you remember to make your h1 font-family Verdana?"

This is my code for the CSS stylesheet:

/* Comments
h1 {
h3 {
p {
'R Us*/

and this is my code for the HTML sheet:

<!DOCTYPE html>
		<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
		<h1>Change me to Verdana.</h1>
		<h3>Change me to Courier.</h3>
		<p>Make me purple!</p>

Instead of using an equals sign, then try using a :

Tried it now, and it didn't work.

I'm going to see if the code loads correctly in my desktop text editor - if it does, that means it's a glitch with codeacademy itself.

Try making a comment that isn't surrounding your css, that way it will run.

Tried that too, and, puzzlingly, it also won't run in my own text editor. So, it must be something I'm doing wrong...no idea what that might be, though.

Your css syntax should be like this.

h1 {
font-family: Verdana;

Take off the comment and put it after.

If the problem continues to bother you, then please post your updated code and the error message :slight_smile:

Tried your solution, and you were right! I replaced the equals signs with colons, and put the comment all together at the bottom...I was wrong on the equals signs!

Np, I'm glad to help :slight_smile:

Having the same issue...however corrected itself when I enter as html and as css... had to enter in both.
I had to do this throughout the whole project. Also having problems showing titles.
good luck!

Please, copy, paste, and format your code so that I can help you :slight_smile:
