CSS: An overview 25 Border error

#1

Hi everyone! I keep getting the error 'Did you remember to give your image a 1px solid #4682b4 border?', while I am pretty sure I did do that. The border shows up on the result screen, so the code is working as it should. I have searched the internet and tried everything (other webbrowser, setting zoom to ctrl+0, etc.), but literally nothing seems to work.
Please help me!! :slight_smile:

index.html:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
	<head>
	    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css" />
		<title>Result</title>
	</head>
	<body>
	    <img src="http://plzcdn.com/ZillaIMG/5521c98f77e044e28b40bde8af41345f.jpg"/>
	</body>
</html>

stylesheet.css:

img {
    height: 100px;
    width: 300px;
    border: 1px solid #4682b4;
}

It worked for me. Clear your cache and refresh your side.

#3

I tried that, but it did not work :frowning:

#4

Maybe the problem is in your CSS?

#5

I provided the CSS file as well, but I wrote it exactly as it said in the exercise, so I don't think that is the problem :slight_smile:

stylesheet.css:

img {
height: 100px;
width: 300px;
border: 1px solid #4682b4;
}

#6

I am having the same problem. A glitch, perhaps?

#7

I finally fixed it!
I did it by setting my zoom to ctrl+0 (100%). Then, I clicked ctrl- and after everytime, I clicked 'save and submit'. So:
ctrl+0
ctrl-
save and submit
ctrl-
save and submit
ctrl-
etc.
At 67% or something it finally submitted!

#8

I have this problem too! Please help

#9

Yeah!!! It's happening to me too, no matter how many times I retype it or other things like that

#10

very helpful. thanks. codeacademy should fix this. surprised more people arent bringing this glitch up.

#11

Yep, also having this issue. Glad it's a discussion - they really do need to fix this ASAP.

#12

The 67% zoom did the trick. What the random...?!

#13

Changing the zoom worked for me too, thanks a bunch.

#14

Thank you, the solution with ctrl+0 helped me too!

#16

This solution also worked for me. I wonder if it has something to do with the size of the image I was using.

#17

you are a genius, this worked, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#18

Just adding my voice in here to let Codecademy know I experienced the same bug. However, pphilippens's solution worked for me, thanks! Hopefully they will fix this bug soon.

Alright--I'm stuck. It rejects it every single time, even though the border code is right, and the zoom trick is not working for me. Does anyone have any other solutions?

#20

It worked for me, when I used 10px instead of 1px:
img{
border: 10px solid #4682b4;
height: 100px;
width: 300px;
}

#21

Wow, changing to screen zoom 67% actually worked. That's bizarre.
