Creating a GUI in Java

Hey Guys, I just finished the Learn Java course.

It was great, but really sad that there is no more Java content to keep learning. I know there are a couple of projects in the Resources tab but really wanted to keep on learning in more detail this language.

I wanted to create a Java Application with a User Interface, I’ve been reading online about JFrame and other stuff, can anyone please advice where can I continue going in-depth with this topic, especially creating user interfaces to link to a back end in a Java environment?

Thanks in advance and happy coding <3

Look into this thread, you’ll get a variety of opinions: Java GUI frameworks. What to choose? Swing, SWT, AWT, SwingX, JGoodies, JavaFX, Apache Pivot? - Stack Overflow

Mind that you sidebar to UX discussions, as well. including the decades long one involving Jared Spool. Look at it from both perspectives, then you’ll know what you want to create AND how not to mess it up from the user experience point of view.
