Course overlap

Hello, I’m pretty new here and I’ve just started coding and signed up to pro, so apologies if this is in the wrong place or has been answered before.

My question concerns the overlap between different courses. I was initially using the free version of Codeacademy to learn Python 2, but then decided to upgrade. After upgrading, I was able to access Career Paths, and decided to embark on the CS path. However, a lot of the stuff in the Python course is also in the path - does this mean that I have to complete everything in the path, including repeating stuff I’ve already learned in the separate Python 2 course, in order to be eligible for a certificate of completion?

If you have completed lessons as part of one course, they will be marked as already completed should they appear on the syllabus of another. You may find however, that a path may feature lessons on Python 3 which would mean you do have some overlap with things you may have covered in Python 2.
