Above are the properties for the first pic required for the Dasmoto Arts & Crafts Project. Is it supposed to be that large? If so, I don’t how to change it’s size so it closely fit the text. The following is how large it appears in my browser. As you can see, the text is not centering and I’m wondering if the image size might have something to do with it? Thanks!
I have that image on my desktop and made it into a jigsaw puzzle. Pretty sure I shared it, but don’t remember where. Leave it with me. The image is a large file but we need not contend with that, now. It can be made to fit our constraints. CSS (and HTML) let us size to those constraints we need in our layout.
CSS background images have zero effect on placement and spacing of objects in the parent space. The constraints we specify apply only to the background.
If further help is needed, please post a link to the project landing page. Our code of the day might still be available to us.
Below is the link for the image.
I have checked with the project solution, both the html and css and there isn’t anything there that resizes that image although I know it can be done with css. What I ended up doing was selecting and saving a much smaller section of the image in MS Paint and that worked quite nicely after I rewrote the css for h1. This my result below.
We could use a link to the landing page of this project to be able to see how we completed it, back in the day. Please post in a reply.
Darn, we’ll have to try the project over again since the machine I did it on is retired. No longer have those files.
Background images can be made to fit their parent window in a number of ways. Take a look at this page to learn more.
Sorry I cannot be of more help.
