As the end of the full stack engineer course draws near for me, I’m curious as to whether there’s any more or less definitive guide available for creating cookies consent pop-ups, and also the mysterious workings of cookies in general.
It’s something the course has dipped its toe in here and there, but considering the first thing a user sees when they visit a page is usually a consent request it seems like a key aspect of modern web development and I’m wary it’s going to be a gap in my knowledge.
It’s probably bundled up with lots of complicated data scraping and handling, which although aren’t appealing parts of web development, seem prevalent enough to warrant enough attention to have a vague idea of how they work beyond the very basics of storing little bits of information that can be retrieved.
Any suggestions welcome.
