Contact list can't make a steve object

#1

I was stuck here, but after deleting the steve object i could go to next lesson. Can someone explain why?

expected ' } ' to match ' { ' from line 1 and instead saw ' steve '
missing " ; " before statement
expected '(end)' and insted saw ' : '

Replace this line with your code.
var friends = {
    bill: {
        firstName: "Bill",
        lastName: "Gates",
        number: "(206) 555-5555"
        }
    steve: {
        firstName: "Steve",
        lastName: "Brown",
        number: "888-999-1010"
    }

You just need a comma after bill's last curly brace.
You're gonna need a semicolon after your last contact as well.

#3

You did not close the function. You need to add a }; to the end. Like this:

var friends = {
    bill: {
        name: "Bill Gates",
    },
    steve: {
        name: "Steve Jobs",
    }
};

Thanks i've been stressing myself out for an hour because of this :sweat_smile:
