Confusing Multiple Choice Question: Wireframes and Prototypes

Hi

First off, I’m sorry if this isn’t the right forum to post this in, I looked around but none of the others really seemed to fit either.

I have a short question about the Wireframe and Prototype quiz in Front-End Engineer > Improved Styling with CSS > Fundamentals of Web Design > Wireframing (https://www.codecademy.com/journeys/front-end-engineer/paths/fecj-22-improved-styling-with-css/tracks/fecj-22-fundamentals-of-web-design/modules/wdcp-22-wireframing-3fe2140a-5d69-4789-a0ef-5a10f45034f2/articles/fecp-external-everything-you-need-to-know-about-wireframe-and-prototypes)

You’re told to read an article about Wireframing and Prototyping and then answer three multiple choice questions with the last one being:

Which of the following is NOT a valid method of prototyping?

  • Design software

  • Native prototyping

  • Paper prototyping

  • Presentation software

The ‘right’ answer is supposedly ‘Paper prototyping’ but the article linked clearly states that all of these four prototyping methods are valid. Is there an easy explanation for this I’m missing, or is the question just wrong/contradictory to the article? I know it’s a minor thing, but stuff like that kinda messes with me.

Hey, you are not wrong! The article does say that paper prototyping is valid. Perhaps it’s the not as desirable as the other methods because it has no functionality or interaction. I think the question needs to be changed or updated to be more specific.
