I’m currently taking the Computer Science Career path and I’m currently in the unit about Databases. One of the projects requires me to work off platform using postbird and PostgreSQL. I downloaded the solution files from the assignment page, but I am unable to open the sql files in postbird. It gives me the message, “psql: authentication method 10 not supported FAILURE”. I’ve tried looking at various solutions but I none of them have seemed to solve the issue.
Also I’m not sure if its just me, but whenever I try accessing the psql.exe file from the command window and enter my password using this line of code "“C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\16\bin\psql.exe”, but it gives me the message “psql: error: connection to server at “localhost” (::1), port 5432 failed: FATAL: password authentication failed for user…”
I’m still new to SQL, so I’m trying to get this working so I can complete this project and any other off-platform projects.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
