Lesson2 : Common HTML elements: Linking at will

When linking the image to an anchor to element in the examples box, it is given src="#". CAn someone please explain how this works and what does "# " mean. Also when linked the alt attribute with the description is not shown.

# is commonly referred to as the hash symbol. A hash is something we can identify. In the case of browser context, the current page, so # is the top of page fragment.
