Codecademy Forums - New User Guide and Get Help links broken

Hi. I was looking for assistance regarding uploading a project to GitHub, when I found a user with a similar problem was directed to a get help section of the forums.

However, when I followed the link ( https://discuss.codecademy.com/c/get-help/1801 ), I received the error: " Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private. Please head to our categories page to find the discussions you seek: Codecademy Forums"

Looking to see if there might be a different location to get help, I clicked the “New User Guide” link at the top of the forums, and got another: " Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private."

Is there a problem with my account that prevents me from accessing these links or are the links broken? I’m signed in using a paid pro account. Also, I’ve had the same problem using both Chrome and MS Edge browsers.

Also, what would the appropriate place to post a question regarding issues posting Jupyter projects to GitHub be directed?

Your account is fine. There’s not an updated version of the New User Guide. I’m not sure when there will be one. The Get Help link works.

Maybe @minhzy or @mariana_b have updates about the new guide(?)

Links not working? Code 404?

Was here:

Clicked Here:

  1. Post a code snippet (if applicable) that gets at the question you’re asking. If you’ve written code that isn’t working, post that.
  • To ensure your code is properly formatted when copied into our forums, write 3 backticks (`) before your first line of code and after your last line of code. See more info here.
  • [I always right click and use “Open link in new window” to keep the page I am on active]

Got this:

The same thing happens when I click on the link or try to use the “New User Guide” link.

Yes, as I said above, that topic doesn’t exist. This one which had other links and helpful info (also doesn’t exist any longer):

https://discuss.codecademy.com/t/how-to-ask-good-questions-and-get-good-answers/77980

They’re revamping the forums and they’ve archived many of the old “how to” topics written by previous CMs. The latest announcement was under the category, “HQ announcements & Events” (that was over a month ago, which is why I tagged the current CMs).

AStill getting the the 404 code info:

Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private. Please head to our categories page to find the discussions you seek: Codecademy Forums

Again, that page doesn’t exist…it’s been archived, deleted or hidden by admins.

If you want to see what had been here previously, you can always check the wayback machine/web archive.
