I am an avid user of this website. After completing the HTML and CSS track, I decided to try some more advanced courses.
Unfortunately, many of these great course will not load. The issue is the same for all of them: the area where I type the code will not load. The top area simply says "Connecting to Codecademy. The course where this issue persists are the following:
Ruby (which used to work for me)
python
Ruby on Rails
Ruby on Rails-Authentication
Angular JS 1.X
Command Line
All three SQL courses
Java
Git
I am currently using Chrome 50.0.2661.102 on Windows 10. My username is cloudPro77011.

A firewall sounds like a likely suspect
If I were you I’d try connecting through Tor

Simply trying another browser (firefox) is probably worth a shot first

We have had a couple of people report this sort of connecting problem. So far I haven’t found any one thing that works.
Could I get you to try something.
You can modify your email address and use that to sign up for a new Codecademy account. For example, if your email was [email protected], you can modify it to [email protected], and then sign up for a new Codecademy account using [email protected].
Try creating a new account and see if you still have the same connecting problem with that.

That is not an often heard response. 
Your Chrome must have had some unusual thing going on there.
