Codebits cause browser to crash

#1

I don't know if this is the right section to post this, but there is no other section that matches.
Going to My profile>Projects causes my browser to "not respond" I tried this on Firefox and Internet Explorer and they both behaved like this. Any other website/section of Codecademy works just fine.
Any solutions? Thank you in advance

Maybe you created an infinite loop in JS?

#4

No, I didn't type any code. I logged in to codecademy, clicked My Profile, then clicked Browse Projects. When I clicked the one I wanted to edit, the browser stops responding

#5

Hmmm... Never heard of this happening before..

#6

My friends account works, but not mine. Dosen't code inside codebits run when you press browse projects? maybe one of my codebits had a infinite loop that ran and crashed my browser

#7

Yes.

That is probably the reason, as I stated above.

@alexcommunitymgr, any ideas on how to get rid of the loop?

#8

You could temporarily disable JavaScript in your browser's settings.

#9

Thanks @zystvan and @jibblyj, I deleted the codebit with the infinite loop, and will make it again

#10

I'd recommend refreshing your page and trying again. If that doesn't work, please open an incognito window and finish your exercise there. You'll have to change your code to make sure that you've fixed your loop.

Let me know if that helps at all!
