This is my second years on subscription with Codecademy and I think it’s a great platform for coding foundation.
Just recently I got curious thinking if I still have access to all my completed courses to realised that I lose my access to all completed courses after subscription has ended.
Your account will automatically deactivate itself at the end of your billing cycle, up to which point you will still have access to Pro. When the subscription is deactivated, you will no longer have access to Pro or Plus content or classes that you had completed while having a Pro or Plus subscription.
I think this is a bit unfair for the user to spend time and money on the Pro version to complete all the courses and then lose all access after the subscription has ended.
If I have completed the course I should allow to have access to that.
I hear you. But, one only has access to content that they pay for (currently).
A good idea might be to take notes and write code bites in a code editor pertaining to the concepts from the lessons so you can go over it whenever you want.
Oh yeah! 100% I wrote a lot of notes from that already but how I see it as that I paid for to access the content like how I get the text book for study.
Sometimes, it just more continent to just go back and find from the text book rather than my note. Otherwise I would just end up copying the whole page to my notebook…
I am not sure why Codeacdemy decided to do this. It’s just not fair.
