Code bits no longer supported?

I came back here after some time of not using codecademy to refresh and relearn programming. I remembered from last year that there were things called code-bits and you could use them to create projects of any type, without any instructions or steps or anything.

However, when I couldn’t find them, I searched it up and it said that “As of July 5th, 2018, code bits are no longer supported.” Why is this? They were very helpful and useful.

because they where used very little. Which make sense given the limited things you could do in a codebit. There are dozen sites (codepen, jsfiddle, jsbin, repl.lit) which offer much more and do it better

plus, the codebits where in the old learning environment.
