'Circular argument reference - now' error

#1

Several times in the Ruby on Rails course, I come across the following error which prevents the instruction steps from being ticked. This occurs in this specific lesson (Associations I) but also I believe throughout the course.

The error appears whenever running the code in the editor, and is not specific to any particular file:

Oops! The test returned an error. Maybe you have a syntax error, or a typo. Hide error.
/home/ccuser/.gem/ruby/2.3.0/gems/activesupport-4.1.1/lib/active_support/values/time_zone.rb:285: warning: circular argument reference - now

Currently the only solution is to keep hitting run until I get the option to ‘get code’ i.e. get the answers for the whole lesson…

Hi @ifo20,

Do either of these links help?

  1. Pages_controller.rb not in folder
