Check Yourself... Some More

#1

I've looked at multiple posts about this or anything close to it but haven't had any luck, I've been stuck and am confused on how to get past the error and fix the code.

This is the link to where I am now, I'm stuck and it keep saying,

https://www.codecademy.com/courses/python-beginner-2W5v7/0/5?curriculum_id=4f89dab3d788890003000096#

"Traceback (most recent call last):
File "python", line 6, in
TypeError: object of type 'builtin_function_or_method' has no len()"

Please help, I'm very confused or my code is just below

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

name = raw_input("Enter a word")
original = (raw_input)

if len(original) > 0 and original.isaplha():
    print original
else:
    print "empty"

Instead try setting Original equal to something else in your code. What seems wrong with

name = raw_input("Enter a word")
original = (raw_input)

#3

That's the thing I've tried. It always just gives me the error for my line 6 then will say, "'unicode' object has no attribute 'isaplha" when I do change something in hopes that I did it right.

#4

what seems wrong with the words "isaplha". Check your spelling. What is it suppose to say?

Well dang. Thank you!!! That was it I need to work more on catching my spelling errors :slight_smile:
