Changes to outdated course material

I’ve noticed that there is often course material from 2 or 3 years ago. I don’t think this is the worst thing (sometimes there’s simply nothing to update) but I do think codecademy should at least maintain the appearance of freshness.

Going through the module ‘Git and GitHub II’ within the Full-Stack path, I’ve noticed that there was a notice from the codecademy team that the course used ‘master’ instead of ‘main’, the current naming convention for the git main branch. The notice said that the course would be updated soon.

This change however, started to come into effect in the Git community in 2021 - why is this course material still not updated? It begs the question, what else is not updated?

This is a question for CS. You can contact them via this form, which is available via the Get Help>Fix a problem> contact CS on the homepage:

Also, there’s a public course content Roadmap at the bottom of this page:

AMEN!

Love the site and everything, but they need to keep on top of consistently having stuff up to date. There’s outdated material from over 5 years ago, which in programming might as well be a century ago. It’s such a shame cause I love this site and everything it does, but if they don’t remain on top of things, me and others will look elsewhere.
