Can someone help me with my resume?

#1

Coding Sea.txt (467 Bytes)I am trying to create my real life resume using the HTML and CSS language skills i have developed but I am having a problem. Above is the code emphasizing the area of concern. How do i split text on the same line with one section text-aligned right and the other section text-aligned left but both text groups are on the same line?

Why include a text file, not a html file with what you actually tried?

Well, you could simple make two divs inside the area and question, and float them left and right, give them a 50% width each

I would like to try using an html file to show my code of my full resume (both the index.html and the stylesheet.css). Please help me understand html files: What is an html file? How do i use an html file?

@seanderson

To save your CodingSea.txt into an html file, you rename it with .html as extension to define it as HTML page like this: CodingSea.html

#5

does miniapple answer answer your question seanderson? Html are a kind of file, so the browser knows how to open it. (just like docx, but also music files (mp3) and video files (mp4))

Code Academy does not allow me to share an html file. How do i show you the current status of my index.html and my stylesheet.css?

#7

Code Academy does not allow me to upload an html file. I still think that miniapple and you did help me understand what an html file is. if you would like to provide your feedback to how i can fix my resume, I would really like to hear your constructive feedback. if you want to provide your feedback, how do i show you the current status of my index.html and my stylesheet.css?

@seanderson

Can you be more specific? Are you talking about Codebits?

#9

I can try. I see some people post an image of their code. how do i take a picture of the image on my computer screen and save it as a jpeg or other picture code so i can upload that image to share with you?

#10

@seanderson

To take an image of your code click on PrtSc and it will copy the image of your screen in the clipboard. Next, go in a program called Paint and paste your image there and save the file as a jpg or png. Then go in a place where you host your image like http://imgur.com where you upload your image. Then you copy the link and you can use it in markdown like this:

[description](url of image)

This method works in Windows not really sure which kind of computer you are using.

The Main Issues => I really would like anybody's help fixing the formatting of my resume that is willing to give me constructive criticism. My first set of goals to cleaning up the formatting of this resume are:
1) In the education section there should be two lines of text underneath. Each line is split into two parts on the same line. One section is right aligned and the other section is left aligned.
2) Separate the 4 sections of the resume so that one is each on their own line (CSS positioning refering to display property block) Education on top of Technical on top of Qualifications on top of Experiences

@seanderson

Is it normal the preview is not showing up???

#18

i do not know. i created .png images on the paint software to preview the code for my resume but i do not know how to do it. Do you have any suggestions on how to post an image of all of my code of the resume i am working on?

#19

@seanderson

Instead of posting photos, so we can work in it properly, I have an idea.

I use a program called Codeshare where we can collaborate in real time for debugging codes.

Join me here---------------->

HTML part https://codeshare.io/1sqGs
CSS part https://codeshare.io/ANuV7

Paste your code here and I'll try to help you.
