Can I use literal notation and object constructor together?

#1

Can I use literal notation and object constructor together in the same object?
Something like:

var friends = {
age: 52,
name: "Joe"
}, new Object();

#2

No, but do you mean like use a constructor to generate something then add/change values?

#3

Not quite, what I mean is can I make an object with literal notation, but leave the object constructor option in there to add something later on in the script.
