Oops, try again. It does’t look like your background color changed, is your hover adding the class active?

$(document).ready(function(){
  $('div').hover(
    function(){
        $(this).addClass('active');
    },
    function(){
        $(this).removeClass('active');
    }
    );
});

Be sure to,

  1. Click the preview area to give it focus.
  2. Read the messages in status bar at bottom.
  3. Mouseover when directed, and pause two seconds or so.
  4. Mouseoff when directed and pause two more seconds.
  5. Return to editor.

#3

Sorry, forgot to explain that the hover is working just fine. The individual divs are changing color as they are supposed to. Just not able to move on.

#4

But did you allow for a delay? Did you click in the page so it gets focus?

#5

Reset the code and it worked. Not sure what was wrong.
