Browser not rendering img; img table not showing numbers of rows and columns

#1

Can someone help provide solution to these two problems i am facing, quickly.

1.The codecademy browser does not rendering images whose links i get from the web.

2. I am trying to get a photobook with 3 rows and 3 columns, but it seems i am getting something wrong.

Thanks

Problem with <img src = "URL" />
Problem with <img src = "URL" />

could you copy and paste your code to the forum? your image source currently refers to a webpage, you should right click on the image, and select: copy image location, and use this url as source for your image.

What you do now, is comparable to telling: if i have a folder, and i want you to open a specific file, and then only tell the folder it is (which, won't work, obviously)

  1. You need to use a link to the image not the page with the image on:
    https://www.example.com/example/exampleimage.html ===> https://www.example.com/example/example.jpg

  2. A row is <tr> and a cell is <td>. Rows are not inline, therefore they are block elements and to make them stack on each other you need them to stack on each other in the code:

    <table>
      <tr>
        <td>Jill</td>
        <td>Smith</td>
        <td>50</td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td>Eve</td>
        <td>Jackson</td>
        <td>94</td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
        <td>John</td>
        <td>Doe</td>
        <td>80</td>
      </tr>
    </table>

The problem is that you didn't provide images as image source, but .html files that are not pictures but html documents. You should link to files that end in .jpg, .png or some other valid image extension.

Thanks @stetim94 and igor_caleta_car.
Image rendering problem fixed. I was copying the image link instead of the image location.

Now to number 2. question

For that i need to see your code, please copy and paste your code to the forum

two problems, you are missing the style attribute on your table:

<table style="border-collapse: collapse">

secondly, you seem to miss a cell opening tag in your third cell, first row:

<td><img src="http://www2.shutterstock.com/webstack/img/lohp/carousel/Vectors/shutterstock_210821800.jpg" /></td>
                        <!-- missing opening table cell -->
                          <img src="http://www2.shutterstock.com/webstack/img/lohp/carousel/Vectors/shutterstock_204352885.jpg" /></td>
                    </tr>
