Border-radius: 100% ? Really?

Perhaps, this is not a bug really, but I do not understand …

In “Learn” section. (Learn CSS: The Box Model, 5 exercise)

Why border-radius: 100%; ?? It makes no sense. To make a perfect circle we need a square box and assigning border-radius to 50% is quite enough. The radius is half the height or width of the box.

A minor concern. The browser is able to sort it out. A lot of developers use 100% to make it clear what their intention is, a full circle.
