    <ul class="pull-left">
      <li><a href="#">Name</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Browse</a></li>
    </ul>

    <ul>

      <li><a href="#">Sign Up</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Log In</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Help</a></li>
      <ul class="pull-right">
    </ul>
  </div>
</div>

class is an attribute you can add to <ul>, you should have two <ul> total, and those should hold the class. don't create any extra unordered opening tags

#3

thanks for your reply
this is what i did now. its no longer saying theres error. lol but i dont understand why its working now.

<div class="nav">
  <div class="container">
    <ulclass="pull-left">
    <ul class="pull-left">
      <li><a href="#">Name</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Browse</a></li>
    </ul>

    <ul class="pull-right">

      <li><a href="#">Sign Up</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Log In</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Help</a></li>

    </ul>
  </div>
</div>

remove this line:

 <ulclass="pull-left">

You have two, you should only have one pull-left, if you need to understand html better, you need to do the html/css course, and not start with the make a website course

#5

Good point. This is in the wrong category. I do hope you've flagged it to be moved? :wink:

#6

Yes, of course i flagged it. Yea, this wrong topic, and some people start with the make a website course, without having enough html understanding

#7

Agreed. I have flagged also.

#8

sorry guys i didn't understand i thought this was the beginners course. thanks for your input

#9

Well yes, it is beginners as in it easy. It doesn't cover the html basic, which are very useful to understand what you are doing in this course
