Biodiversity Project Done

This was a hard project to do.
It took way too long to finish.
I learned more than I thought I would.

Congrats on completing the project!

A couple things:

  • Rather than make people download a .pptx file it is better to upload a .pdf of your presentation of the data. That way, ppl who don’t have Powerpoint can view it.

  • Is it possible to also upload a Jupyter (or Google Colab) notebook to your repo? This would help others to see the output of your code. Plus, you can use the markdown cells to convey your thought processes as you go through the data to do your EDA, etc. Think of it as if you’re telling a story…to someone who isn’t familiar with the data set(s).

Thanks, PDF is on there now.
I saved it as a IPYNB and uploaded it. The file was corrupted, so I’ll have to figure it out.
I thought people would just copy and paste into their IDE to see it run?

That’s asking a lot for anyone viewing a project. Especially since they don’t have access to the csv files.

The csv files were uploaded with the rest of them.
I was under the impression that the audience would only be the other students.
Thanks for your comments.

Sorry, I wasn’t be very clear. :woman_facepalming:t2:

Let’s say you wanted this to be part of your portfolio to use when or if, you apply for a data analyst or science job. A potential employer would want to see your projects and skills that you know…backing up what’s stated on your resume.
