Simply put, I can't wrap my head around the "for" loop. For some reason, I cannot understand this. Could someone try and explain it in a different way?

EDIT: Okay, now I have a different issue. And when this code is printed, Adam is clearly visible, however the website thinks it is not.


names = ["Adam","Alex","Mariah","Martine","Columbus"]
for item in [names]: 
    print item

print item

Had to remove square brackets.
