# Battleship 17: A Real Wiin NEED HELP!

#1

<Below this line, add a link to the exact exercise that you are stuck at.>

<In what way does your code behave incorrectly? Include ALL error messages.>
I don’t know whats wrong with this code!! No matter where I put the break, it gives me the error message ‘break’ outside loop, Python line 34

I can figure out what I did wrong…I tried putting it all kind of random places, but it still won’t work! I even tried restarting my browser…anyway, need HELP big-time!
<What do you expect to happen instead?>

```python
board =
for x in range(5):
board.append([“O”] * 5)
def print_board(board):
for row in board:
print " ".join(row)
print “Let’s play Battleship!”
print_board(board)
def random_row(board):
return randint(0, len(board) - 1)
def random_col(board):
return randint(0, len(board[0]) - 1)
ship_row = random_row(board)
ship_col = random_col(board)
print ship_row
print ship_col
print “”
turns = 5
for turn in range(turns):
print “Turn”, turn + 1
guess_row = int(raw_input(“Guess Row:”))-1
guess_col = int(raw_input(“Guess Col:”))-1
if guess_row == ship_row and guess_col == ship_col:
print “Congratulations! You sunk my battleship!”
break
board[guess_row][guess_col] = ‘X’
else:
if (guess_row < 0 or guess_row > 4) or (guess_col < 0 or guess_col > 4):
print “Oops, that’s not even in the ocean.”
elif(board[guess_row][guess_col] == “X”):
print “You guessed that one already.”
else:
print “You missed my battleship!”
board[guess_row][guess_col] = ‘X’
if turn == turns-1:
print “Game Over”
print_board(board)
``<do not remove the three backticks above>``
#2
This is an indentation problem. Everything after `guess_col` should be indented one more level.
#3
It still doesn’t work…i tried indenting it still says that ‘break outside loop’
